I wish the Stones would make an album called revisited. So we could start a thread called revisited revisited.

Must Be Hell great lyrics and the rest!
Tie You Up love everything about this song
I Wanna Hold You classic Keith love it
Too Much Blood maddest song I've heard very cool though!

"She Was Hot", "Wanna Hold You", "Too Tough" and the title cut are all great tracks. Can't believe they've never done "She Was Hot" live before. |

If one had to be destroyed, forever, which one would you choose to destroy;
Undercover,
or
Bridges To Babylon?

If the Stones came out with something as raw and powerful like Undercover today we'd all be excited. |

Undercover's not a bad album but could use a grittier production.
I like Undercover Of The Night, Tie You Up, Too Tough and All The Way Down.
Wanna Hold You to me is Keith's weakest Stones tune; and It Must Be Hell was much better as Soul Survivor on Exile. |

Listening to Undercover today its quite clear that the album sucks when compared to the rest of their impressive catalog.
but, still, I applaud there effort on this one. At the time, it was a departure from the typical Stones sound. Probably one of their more adventurous albums as far as them trying to take the Stones sound to a differnt level - a more contemporary feel.
you could tell that they were pushing for a sound with a harder edge. Combined with an agressive lyrical content that was flooded with sex and violence. And an uptempo rhythem. This was clearly the Stones going in a new direction. A very stark contrast to their previous release - Tattoo You.
alongside the rest of the Stones catalog, Undercover stands alone as its own beast. Unlike their other records, you cant even really mix in any of the songs alongside anything else they've released. The sound is so drasticly different. Try placing "Undercover of The Night", "Too Tough" or "Too Much Blood" onto another record and they dont mesh at all.
I'm not a fan of the record, but I give them 4 stars for trying to break out of the box on this one. |

Undercover rocks my socks, the whole bamd is on fire. If we see the US top 5 during December 1983 (Police, Lionel Richie, Jacko, the Stones) give me Undercover anytime. |

Didn't the Twins refer to it as "Pretty Fucked Up" as well? |

Dirty Work, without a doubt is far worse than any other Stones album and SHOULD be destroyed forever.
Anyone else besides me going to stick up for Wanna Hold You? I like it, especially compared to the blood and death that surrounds it. |

Haha, yes, once the title was chosen they did refer to it as that. But when Keith first heard the rough demo his first reaction was Dog Shit so he scibbled that on the tape. |

Not a good sign when a tune labeled "Dog Shit" makes it on to the album! |
