Topic: Who played the French Horn? Return to archive Page: 1 2
15th February 2007 11:06 PM
rogue123 Does anyone know which of the Rolling Stones is accomplished at playing the French Horn? I am completely stumped on this trivia question. It's multiple choice and the 4 possible answers are Mick, Keith, Ronnie, or Bill. Anyone know the answer?
15th February 2007 11:08 PM
M.O.W.A.T. My guess is Bill

GotToRollMe Al Kooper?
16th February 2007 12:15 AM
Brainbell Jangler Of course on a Stones recording it was Kooper, but of the listed options I would guess polyinstrumentalist Brian.
16th February 2007 12:16 AM
GotToRollMe I was gonna guess Brian too, but he isn't an option!

Then I was gonna guess Ronnie, because he seems to be the most multi-talented instrument-wise, but I really don't think any of them play French horn.

'Tis a puzzlement, indeed.

Saint Sway Matt Clifford was the Jimi Hendrix of French Horn players on the Steel Wheels tour.

Clifford oozes rock and roll swagger. Stones are blessed to work along side him.
