Recently heard a bootleg called "Tricky Fingers And Slicky Ringers"
Confused about the live version of "Can't You Hear Me Knocking."
Is this the Rolling Stones?
I didnt know they ever did this song live, until recently.
It sounds like the Stones, cept the dude singing doesn't sound like jagger, i cant make out the band introductions, but it doesn't sound like he's mentioning (i think i hear him say mr keith richards) any familiar names
plus that funky slap bass doesn't seem Stonesy. It sounds good, but i don't recall the Stones ever using slap bass. just wondering, thanks for any help. |

I've never heard this boot but if keith's on it, it could be a live version by Mick Taylor with Keith guesting in New York in 1986.
The Stones actually DID play the song once or twice on the 1971 British tour but they couldn't cut it and gave up on it. There are no live recordings of it by the Stones as a band until Palais Royale in 2002 |

Gazza, is Bill's book your source for the 71 attempts at CYHMK? Are there others? |
