Ten Thousand Motels Bill Wyman Welcomes Safer Cigarette to UK
Posted : Wed, 20 Feb

LONDON, February 20 /PRNewswire/ --

- Conference Presents Scientific Breakthrough for Much Safer Smoking

Former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman is one of the celebrity guests on the London press conference introducing the safer cigarette in the UK. This new scientific breakthrough allows smokers to smoke a less harmful cigarette, without combustion, tar or fire and no toxic smoke, therefore completely eliminating passive smoking.

Wyman - presently touring with his Rhythm Kings - is one of the greatest supporters of the safer cigarette. "It's a wonderful cigarette", Wyman claims, who was recently nearly thrown from stage for lighting up during a performance. Famous chef de cuisine Anthony Worall Thompson and singer Alexander O'Neill, who both have met with similar problems in refusing to stop their smoking habit, will accompany him.

The press conference will take place at G Casino at Piccadilly Circus in London, Thursday February 21 from 1.00 p.m. A scientific panel with Prof. Dr Lutz Lauterbacher (president of the European Board of Food, Drugs & Cosmetics) Prof. H. Lerut (General Surgeon) and R. Cornelissen (Dental Surgeon) will present the scientific results of the safer cigarette.

A Belgium company, in collaboration with European scientists and research laboratories, has succeeded in producing a less harmful substance for a safer cigarette, without combustion. It reduces the nicotine content, yet still provides the smoker with the taste and aroma of cigarettes. It contains no herbal ingredients, produces smoke that contains no toxic substances for the smokers and their environment. The initiative could therefore have a major and positive effect on public health worldwide.

UK's leading retailer of vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements, Holland and Barrett, with stores in almost every major city and town, has announced they willstart selling the safer cigarette within days. Also the safer cigarette will be available in all Rank Gaming Casinos and bingo halls along with chemists and health stores throughout the UK from February 25.

guitarman53 Great for smokers, in his book "Stone Alone" he mentioned about trying to giving up smoking, now I know he never got there, I wonder if Charlie smokes, I know that Jagger doesn't, it's hard to be a part of the jet-set & smoke, the laws around the world can be different re: smoking, in Canada, it's like being a outlaw when one smokes, I expect one day the police will arrest people for smoking.

Charlie gave up a few years back. Considering he had throat cancer four years ago, I think its a safe bet to say that he hasnt started again.
