Recording Engineer Who Worked With Rolling Stones Dies
EASTSOUND --
Richard "Dr. Richie" Moore, a recording engineer who worked with the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and scores of other famous musicians, has died at age 55.
Moore died Feb. 16 at his home in this Orcas Island town. The cause of death was not specified, and San Juan County Coroner Randy Gaylord could not be reached Saturday.
Born in San Francisco, Moore helped create many gold and platinum albums. Artists he worked with included Huey Lewis and the News, Rita Coolidge, Canned Heat, the Neville Brothers, Pablo Cruise and Country Joe McDonald. |
