J.J.Flash Great link fella. Thanks a lot! Interesting stuff.

BTW, Ginger is one of the TOP 5 for my personal taste.

Best regards!

M.O.W.A.T. Never been a fan of solos (be they drum or guitar). Maybe that's what I like the most about the Stones, it's not about the individual but what each individual brings to the group.

That being said, there are some mighty fine drummers on that list -- however, I was surprised to find Phil Collins on that list (what?? Phil Collins plays drums?? I thought he just sang horrible Disney songs! LOL)

scratched Never been a fan of drum solos - sounds to me like pots and pans being thrown down the stairs. One exception though - Keith Moon. I could happily watch him playing a solo all day! A one man orchestra!

Zack Yeah but Moon never played a solo! Said they were "fucking boring" and I agree with him. I do like Ringo's little bit in the Abbey Road medley, because it's short.

JaggaRichards Zep's Moby Dick is made boring by that drum solo.

stewed & Keefed Toad is the only drum solo worth listening to.(imo)

Gotta Go with Moonie !!!!!

glencar Buddy Rich used to do drum solos on Johnny Carson. Quite dull. Moonie was even duller, natch.

jpenn11 Ever hear Moon sing "I Saw Her Standing There" with The Who? A true classic. He should have fronted a band.

Gazza "great drum solo" is an oxymoron

Bands who subject their audiences to drum solos should be drowned.
