The Chili Peppers Greatest Hits.
I tried listening to the White Stripes, and well, all I could think about was Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins, when he was the one-man band.
Christ, I could do what they do,-- and topless, I could draw a bigger crowd. Their sound and songwriting is lost on me...
Oh yes, and daily I listen to one of my many homemade Stones compilations, |

it's been a long time since i've given this a good listen but i hauled it out after bruce was discussed here recently (another good thing about this board - i keep getting reminded of all sorts of great tunes)
bruce's lead guitar work on this is probably the best of his career - see esp."candy's room" and "adam raised a cain"
i'm not really a car fanatic kind of guy but (imo) "racing in the streets" is an amazingly moving song - and the way it "quotes" both "dancing in street" and "SFM" with the line "summer's here and the time is right for racing in the street" is, again, very moving |
