morocco I know that there are some here who might laugh at a Rolling Stones compilation. Nonetheless, I feel that the remastered Hot Rocks 1964-71 collection is fantastic.

This album is great for at least two reasons: it features the early songs on which Brian Jones' flourishes really stood out; and the second disc contains the Stones' greatest hard rock songs ever.

quackenbush Hot Rocks was the first Rolling Stones record that I bought; I have very fond memories of that album.

GimmeExile Side 3 is the greatest sequence of songs on any album side in rock history!

LadyJane I think many of us have had HR on vinyl, cassette and CD. Great album for beginners....The Rolling Stones 101 so to speak!!

Right now I'm listening to Flowers! What a great recording! Not one song featured on the Licks Tour. Too bad!! What I wouldn't give to hear them play "Out of Time", "Sittin on a Fence" and, of course, "Lady Jane".

Boomhauer It is a great compilation. Although, I haven't heard the remastered edition yet.
