Sounds like a plan, a good crowd is always a plus too. The 1989 Cincinnati show was probably my favorite of all the times I saw them, good set list, great crowd, and the band was tight and on fire.

when i tripped over the speaker at hte chicago pre show and fell to the ground in a tremendous heap, Starbuck, Fiji, and Glencar were concerned about my well being, and then shared a laugh. I, like Chris Farley and John Belushi, an innovative and can turn my own misfortunes in to top notch entertainment for others. I truly am looking after john and jane public and when I can reach an audience through whichever means, even if it causes me contusions, concussions, or convulsions, I allow their smiles to heal my pain. You know the routine...We make dreams come true....consider us the Jake Cohl's of the message boards!

Concerned? I was more worried about the 460 parking ticky I was about to get! That damn thing cost as much as my Stones ticket & it didn't even enrich Mick & Co!

Sadly, it has come to our attention that there has been some serious corruption in the chicago municipal government, particularly a well publisized trucking scandal. Your inappropriately large ticket was probably not put to best use within the city limits of Chicago, i presume it probably ended up being spent at Gibsons or Mortons.

Saint Sway hey Pugs,

now that you have an eye patch and a cape, you might as well go the full 9 yards and get a hook for your hand.

ayyyyyyyyye matey!

There is no need for you to further communicate with me at this point. It is too dificult for me to find it in my heart to use what little spare time I have these days devoted to a subpar poster when there are so many other posters that I find much more enjoyable to banter with and share converstations and concerns. I wish you the best in your future endeavors, and truly hope the Crowes stay together so you may fully enjoy them. It is time for you to disappear back to the "What's Tall" forum!

speedfreakjive I'd have to back-up Pug here. You do spend most of your time discussing The Black Crowes saint. Sure I mention u2 a bit, but I mostly talk about the Stones, the u2 things a bit of a joke really. I don't talk about u2's music, essentially.

part of my feels you mention U2 just to get jb and myself fired up.....and that is a beautiful thing. I enjoy your contributions to the site, you help make things interesting.

Puggy, they'll get that money when they pry it from my cold dead fingers. I do not submit to highway robbery. I will add that your performance that afternoon was superb & it was a sincere pleasure meeting you.

PeerQueer Chicago needs to be far more health conscience - far too many overweight people reside there...

America has sadly become a land of lard...with the exception of such delightful places like West Palm Beach

Sadly, the numbers back up your facts. Chicago was recently named "fattest city in the USA" We have been humiliated and more should more towards health as I am!

glencar I'd like to see Chicago get more health conscious too.
February 16th, 2006 06:16 PM
PeerQueer Though not suffering from weight problems (far too insecure to ever allow for such a thing) I too have attempted to be more health conscience.

I have reduced my random sexual encounters with good looking strangers to no more than 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 a month, 2/3rds of which I make sure are female...)

I only snort coke on weekends...or weekdays...

I have attempted to replace my addiction to poppers with some high grade X - not sure if that is helping any, but it is a nice change of pace...

I have an affinity for Grey Goose vodka, and only drink Jack D. when I am in the mood for slumming - (which is at least once a week...)

I have not returned to Bangkok in three years - since the Nana Plaza incident -shudder- ...

I no longer swallow - unless he's really cute - though the last time I did was at the gym where I maintain a freakishly hardcore fitness regime that this striking gentleman found quite appealing...

I no longer bed married women - unless they're really hot...

I have contemplated marriage, as I recently read it can add ten years to your life - though I am now trying to verify the quality of life ratio regarding said committment...

I haven't bedded down with a porn star since that Valley party back in 01'at Dinna's place (RIP)...

I haven't placed a bet since the Super Bowl when my beloved Hawks cost me 3 grand...

I shall spend the upcoming month of July in Ireland - that place always makes me feel young...

I suggest you wait by your phone, as any minute now Connie Rice will be calling to ask if you'd be an honorary spokesperson for the Presidents Council of Physical Fitness.

Exactly, the only new song they needed was "Don't Stop" on there, replace the other three with "Heartbreaker", "Waiting On A Friend" and "She's So Cold", there would be enough room then for no edits and it would be a much better track listing on disk 2 as well.

Agreed. Rewind needs to be re-released - no edits.

I find her quite attractive, and would love to spend an evening of deep conversation followed by even deeper love making with her!

__________

I am sad to report your anti-Edge feelings are terribly misguided and likely stem from the reality that the Stones, while sitting atop a mighty legacy of Rock -n- Roll that is unrivaled by any act in the history of the genre, are not, nor have they been for nearly 25 years, an integral player on the musical scene, having been replaced by.........................THOSE BLESSED IRISH LADS!!!!

I implore you to see a U2 show in Dublin. You shall then come to understand the inherent greatness of this very fine band. I do not love them as much as my dear Stones, but do consider them a very fine band - and at times, a great band.

If the Edge were ever to greet you, it would be to your great benefit. He has handled the illness of his daughter with great dignity and fortitude, and is a credit to the the Irish - the greatest people on earth! (Not to mention he has kept himself in fantastic shape - Bono on the other hand, was looking decidedly bloated when last I saw him.)

I bet that a re-release of Rewind could sell steady (5-10k) during months, just like Jump Back.

His accomplishments in his personal life are nothing short of fantastic, a sick child is many's worst fear, and we all know the Irish are great folks....but he does perform with U2, therefore as a professional musician I hate him. Perhaps it would be an honor to meet the man behind The Edge...but not in his role as U2 guitarist/bono dependant.

PeerQueer I am deeply saddened by your stubborn refusal to accept the worthiness of U2...

But go forward and prosper fellow Stonesian brother, and may your days be filled with economic prosperity, and your nights filled with relentless fornication!

...and I shall aid you in your quest for better health

...a complete colonic flushing every month for the next three months followed by a high fiber diet - twice the recomended daily intake -

Within six months you shall have shed a substantial amount of your weight, will be amazed at your increased energy levels and well being - not to mention the improvement to your sexual stamina.

Then -and only then- will you be fully prepared to understand the majesty that is U2...
