luxury1 Well, I have no idea what the song means. I get so lost in that groove, it takes on whatever meaning I'm feeling at that moment. Beautiful.

Nellcote The Stones in a Nawlins-gospel mode. A rather dark, brooding song. Interesting to see that The Blind Boys of Alabama have recently covered it. Nothing beats the sweaty feel of Exile, but, to wonder what a clean mix of those songs would have sounded like. An early boot of Loving Cup actually sounds clearer.

luxury1 Nellcote--Have you heard the Blind Boys CD that Just Wanna is on? I love it, and I bet Mick does too.

nankerphelge I remember reading about the making of Exile and while they recorded this song, Mick was sitting in some chair in another room or something -- gives that haunting distant vocal. One of the treasures of Exile that is so easily overlooked. I especially love the fade from Ventillator Blues into JWSHF.

Miss U. I love that song.
My interpretation is as the #1. But I never thought of #2...interesting.
