Slavegirl I went to their show in Anaheim...Eddie is the man. He came out all alone and did a 20 minute guitar solo that blew my mind. Dave is still in great shape, ugly as hell, but fit and can still sing great live. All around an awesome show.
17th January 2008 07:35 AM
Jumping Jack It ain't "Hotlanta"! Hell must have frozen over. Maybe Cohl has started eating grits and will be announcing Led Zeppelin opener in Atlanta today!

What did you think of the bass player?

Kinda lame. Obviously it would have been way cooler with Michael Anthony, but apparantly the ginormous egos that exist in Van Halen prevented that from happening. Wolfgang looked funny on stage to me when you paid attention to him...all chubby and awkward. When they were indtroducing the band he did a little bass solo that was totally soft and weak. A friend of mine pointed out to me that it can't possibly be that hard to play bass for VH, I mean just listen to the opening bass line for Runnin With the Devil, just an e plucked over and over. I think what Michael Anthony contributed was personality (not to mention awesome vocals) and little Wolfie ain't got neither of those.

I think that is kind of the sentiment among a lot of people.
