February 12th, 2005 02:06 AM
Make It Funky Ok..... you guys.. you gotta either download it, or get the album "Swiss Movement".

The song in particular which you desperately need to hear, is called "Compared to what?"

You diehard sick junkies like me might know the tune like this: "Goddammit! I can't use it! Tryin' to make it real! Compared to what??"

For a year now, Ive been tryin to track it down.. first heard it in Australia.. thinking it was Bobby Blue Bland.. with taht "Squak" voice.. but it wasnt... anyways.. was reading Vanity Fair, with a piece of political protest songs by John Mellencamp, and he chose "Compared to What" as his top ten favourite.

Recorded at Montreaux Jazz Festival, July '69. With Eddie Harris.

PLEASE CHECK THIS SONG OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
