Dane Side Of The Moon
(Wednesday February 15, 2006 03:01 PM)
Roger Waters will apparently play Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" from start to finish at a music festival this summer.
Waters, one of the founding members of the prog rock heroes, is planning to perform the groundbreaking recording in its entirety at the Roskilde Festival at the end of June.
The announcement, which comes just days after the band themselves essentially said they would never perform together again, follows in the footsteps of similarly acclaimed albums by the likes of Brian Wilson, The Stooges and Love in recent years.
Waters is joined on the Roskilde bill by Franz Ferdinand, Kanye West, Placebo, the Animal Collective and Placebo.
Tickets for the festival are on-sale now and are priced at £120.

Waters only sang two songs on Dark Side of the Moon (the last two), and his ex-bandmates played the whole thing on the 94 tour.
But I suppose he can sing the word if he wants, since he wrote them. |
