I hear ya, Egon. I miss my '69 Ford Falcon Futura...three-on-the-column manual transmission, and a V8 under the hood. What a beast.

Sir Stonesalot Hey, you can get these sorts of cars without spending a pile of jack on 'em. I paid $5,000.00 for that car as is. I'll probably put another $2,000.00-$3,000.00 into it.

You can't buy a decent new car for that. You can't even buy a decent car USED for that.

You must have patience, and you need to look in the right places for these vehicles. You can't go to dealerships to buy one. It's always a private sale sort of situation.

This is what I call a "lifestyle" car. If you want a vehicle that will enhance a certain type of lifestyle...you can get it if you are determined. And you can do it without breaking the bank. You gotta have vision. You can pick up a vehicle that isn't finished pretty cheap, put some more work into it(follow your vision of what you want it to be), and have a vehicle that will pick you up every time you get behind the wheel.

I plan on going to the drag strip with my kid...doing some classic car cruises...that kind of thing. This car will give me some quality time with the family. That's cool as shit, IMO.
