glencar I had inadvertantly taped the "Hey Jude" portion & it was so dull. Please, let that man retire already!

Jaxx hey jude, imo, was the worst of all. i thought the dead did a better version of get back (ironically, enough) when i saw them last summer. as far as retiring, i don't know if its fair to ask a musician to retire because he's getting too old. i thought pauls voice was decent. he can still sing better than bob dylan and neil young!

corgi37 When you think of it, anyone can sing better than those two! hahaha.

Right on Jaxx!

P.S. But i do hate McCartney. Oh, yes i do.

kahoosier 1981 indoor shows did have seats behind the stage, but the stage was at one end of the arena. Charlie's riser did indeed move so that those seated behind the stage had a better time then say on the No Security tour. But there were no floor seats back there. IMO to be considered "in the round" there should be seats on the floor completely surrounding the stage. This was not true in 81. In the arenas, the back of the stage was up against the "end wall"of the arena floor, with those seats behind and at the sides available only above floor level.

In 78, the outdoor shows were played, I think, with a back drop painted to look like an open mouth, and if my substance clouded memories are right, a tongue was painted at least on the floor. I might be wrong on this one though guys, it was a long time AGO.

GhostofBrianJones All the talk of the stage shapes and concert stuff really gets my
hopes up of them coming to the Edward J Jones dome in
Saint Louis MO. I think they should change the name to the
Rolling Stones Dome myself, but that would never work. Put a
BIG RED TONGUE on the roof -COOL!!!

And then they could come and see Chuck Berry and think about
moving the MAIN RS Office to the MIDWEST sure would be a
heck of a lot cheaper than London-oh well why am I dreaming!
Maybe then and only then could they show the Public Officials
how to wake this town up Keith and Mick style!! HELP US!!
Those guys have been to every nook and cranny on this planet
they would surely know what the heck to do-HELP US MICK & KEEF!! How about a GLIMMER TWINS CASINO?! Oh well I tried.
Hope to see them this summer anyway if I can somehow get a
ticket before they are all sold out. How do ya get a job with the
Rolling Stones anyway??

Sir Stonesalot >he can still sing better than bob dylan and neil young!<

That is a matter of opinion. I would rather hear Bob and Neil sing than Macca ANY day. But then again, I think Tom Waits is a great singer too.

To each his own....

littleredrooster What about the 'Lotus' stage that was used in 75 in Chicago?
That was a round stage in the middle region of the arena floor.
It opened like a blooming lotus blossum!
That was the inflatable penis tour of 1975.
