Thats an awful lot of money to spend to complain about the setlist and negatively compare it to a Black Crowes show.

I will spend the same amount of money as I do on Crowes tickets: zero.

And I will be there.

and if I get a "plus one" I will burn it in your honor as a loving tribute to you

A freebie for a charity event? For some reason I don't believe you.

Shidoobee just posted it is a private sale!!!!! 250-7500!!!!

if its a "private" sale why are Ticketmaster advertising and offering the public to sign up for e-mail alerts for it?

Are the cheapest tickets $250 or was that a typo and you meant $2500?

In a 6,800 seater theatre, there cant be much difference between the best and worst seat. Maybe its $250 for the car park!

jb tHE GENERAL PUBLIC CANNOT PURCHASE THROUGH TICKET MASTER!!!! yOU NEED A SPECIAL CODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called Robin Hood foundation and they switch you to a tape expalining the whole thing!!!
February 3rd, 2006 03:06 PM

I believe you had to be a member of the Robin Hood Foundation!!!!! I am speechless as I am being precluded from purchasing a $7500 ticket!!!!

Gazza cant you just go to their site and register as a member?

Surely, being a charity, they're looking to raise awareness for their organization and attract members - not exclude people. That sounds somewhat self-defeating.

Can they also possibly have enough members to buy 7,000 tickets at THOSE prices? I can't imagine so.

I cant see how they'll sell that show out without making SOME tickets available to the public at some point.

Unless they do, it seems shameful that for the 3rd tour in a row (see Hawaii' 98 and The Joint in Vegas in 2002) the Stones are playing one of the smallest venues of the tour yet doing it as a "private" gig which totally excludes any of their fans

c'mon Gazza. You've got a much better understanding of what the Stones are really about to actually be surprised that they would do this.

ya know?

since when were the Stones ever a fan friendly band?

Sir Stonesalot >And I will be there.

Don't you DARE do that.

I'd be happy to attend that function with you. I think you are a swell fellow, and I think it we would have a very fun time of it.

I'll even swap you a Pogues ticket for 3/19 at the Nokia Theatre.

February 3rd, 2006 03:46 PM
Sir Stonesalot Yep. Shane is supposed to be there.

I say supposed because it is quite possible that he will pass out somewhere and not make showtime...
February 3rd, 2006 03:50 PM
Saint Sway I'll be sure to look for him on the floor at Rudy's.
