Scottfree Ending the threat of the USSR, and freeing 300 million people.... Interest rates down from 22% to 8%, doubled revenue due to tax cuts, and the Democrat (house, and part of the time senate) congress managed to spend $1.87 to every dollar that was brought in.

Lest it be forgotten, Liberals controlled Congress for forty years straight (1954-1994). And guess what? They didn't save a single penny of the Social Security Trust Fund. These so-called champions of the elderly squandered away everything our parents and grand-parents paid into the system. Yet even this was not enough to satisfy their appetite to spend other people's money. Democrats ran budget deficits year after year and sent the public debt soaring. And in those forty years, government became more intrusive, levied ever higher taxes, and grew substantially in role and size.

jb Jimmy Carter, not Reagan, was responsible for the fall of communism.

You ever hear the term "Guns for Butter"?? It wasn't guns for peanut butter....
02-06-03 11:11 AM
Nellcote Jimmy Carter.
Really.
I've heard everything now.
I'm having enough trouble picturing Keith standing next to that lard butt Hilary tonight, and you have the gaul to say this about Carter.
Astonishing.
What's next, Al Gore invented the Internet?
Bill Clinton is faithful to his wife?
Ted Kennedy teaches Drivers Education?
John Kerry is poor?
Gary Hart does not like motorboats?
Barney Frank is a hetrosexual?

I hereby propose Scottfree and Maxlugar for Prez/VP in 08.
They can squabble about who is ma and pa but what a duo
they would make!

The Stones can play at the Inauguration

Speaking of 22% interest rates under Carter, I was going
thru some of my dads old business records and came across
a business loan he had in 79. Damn if it wasn't 22%!
And that was from a bank not Guido the loan shark

Oh yes my Maxy , that turned everything around the day he handed George Bush Sr. his head at the New Hampshire Debate in February 1980 !

Did you see the way my Ronnie got up from his desk and started to walk towards the moderator like he was going to pound the crap out of him ?????

Simply Beautiful !

" Is this thing on ????????????????? "

" I paid for this microphone !!!! "

In the distance , I thought I heard someone say , " MAO ! "

JACKY !

Hey JB, post a pic of your secretary. Don't have one you say? Tell her due to 9-11 and the impending military action
your firm in now issuing photo IDs to all employees.

Scan it and post. This I have to see.......

Riffhard Happy Birthday to the greatest President of the last 150 years! Hell,Maryland is about to adopt a Ronald Reagan day. It will just be a day reflection of his great presidency. Not a paid day off or anything like that. It should go national by God!

Reagan on Rushmore? Now there is a great idea!

F505 How old is that man? 103? Are we gonna discuss all fools who once were president of the USA?
02-06-03 02:35 PM
Riffhard Give him his due F505. He is only directly responsible for the fall of the USSR. So yes,I think it's worthy of a nice happy birthday thread for the man who made the world safer!

Riffhard
02-06-03 02:38 PM
F505 No I think he is only responsible for the fall of a couple of indians he shot in his westerns...
