The last 3 weeks we've had a few days in the 30s, the rest in the 40s and 50s with lows mostly in the 30's and a few 40s. It rained well over half these days and we saw sun only 2 days I think. Starting today through the coming week the prediction is for highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's. Perfect.

I remember those days in western NY, drinking was a must.

Take care.

Rick

GimmeExile Cold? Not at all...I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt in 80 degree weather in sunny Los Angeles.

GotToRollMe I hear ya, LJ. I've got a KR-style constitution myself: I don't function well in cold weather at all. I'll take tropical temps any day! I'm trying to keep sane by counting the days till spring, but it ain't easy...

New York was cold and damp
TV is just a blank
Looks like another dead end Sunday

What about an early night
Monday never feels so bright
Ooh the sheets feel cold and lonely

Who wants to brave the pouring rain
For a glass of French champagne?
Well grab a cab, grab a cap and baby, come right by

And she was hot - as she kissed my mouth
She was hot - as I wiped her brow
She was hot - she pinned me to the ground
She was quick - she knew her way around
She was hot - as she tore my clothes
She was hot - she had no place to go
She was hot - on a cold and rainy night

Detroit was smoky grey
Nothing like the good old days
Well I got a fever that I'm fighting

I don't need your company
Leave me in my misery
I can take the rebound just like lightning

And she was hot - in a 50's dress
She was hot - her lips were flashing red
I was lost - in her burning flesh
I was hot - I was dripping sweat
She was hot - in the Detroit snow
She was hot - she had no place to go
She was hot - on a cold and rainy night

And she was hot - and I had the blues
She was hot - honey, where were you?
If you were in my shoes
You would be excused
She was hot - you can never wait
She was hot - never hesitate
She was hot - on a cold and rainy night

I think I'm going off the rails
Riding down the pleasure trails
I was taking passion where you find it

Honey when you're young and fresh
And you need the touch of flesh
Go take the treasure where you find it

And she was hot - in the melted snow
She was hot - in the molten glow
She was hot - she got it in the blood
She was hot - like the dam that bursts
She was strong - she was strong and true
She was black - and her eyes were blue
She was lost - and she took a chance
At just a brief romance

Down the avenue,
into the lost bayou
Into the tall bamboo,
back to the human zoo
I wish you all the best,
I hope we meet again,
on a cold Chicago night...

It's about 6 F. They don't expect it to rise much.
I really don't give a fuck, it can't last much longer. Well 4-5 more days...? I guess that's what they're saying.
Anyway I'm just glad Daylight Savings Times starts earlier this year. March 11.

5th February 2007 05:35 AM
RSRTG Well it was 42 degrees celcius here (adelaide) yesterday (sunday) so all I did was drink beer and watch cricket on the tv. Wouldnt mind a cold blast of air to cool things off a bit.
5th February 2007 06:46 AM
FotiniD It's been a beautiful, spring-like four-month period of 15-20 degrees C in Athens so far, and everyone kept nagging about the global warming, winter not showing up and the end of the world coming.

Since Friday it's been windy like hell, with rain and temperature suddenly dropping to 4 C. Now everyone's nagging about the cold, bad weather and traffic

corgi37 I feel sorry for all you losers. Northern Hemisphere - pfft! Yesterday i spent all day swimming in the pool with my kids. Today, it was hovering around 35 celcius - lovely and hot. Not a cloud around. And, the parade outside my window at work was sensational!

Here is an example.

5th February 2007 08:37 AM
LadyJane Minus 2 air temp.

Minus 25 wind chill.

BRUTAL morning.

LJ.

Yeah, familiar stuff, sounds like Holland as well, moaning about warm temperatures since september and lack of winter and global warming and UN reports and heightened sea levels, and today moaning about the 'cold' 3 deg. celsius windy weather.

This week in a minor part of Holland (just the coast) some minor minor chance of some minor minor minor snow flakes (which'll turn to water before they'll hit the streets) and it was front page news today in a national newspaper!!??! Admittedly, the shittiest one available, but still. End of the week temp. will rise again. At least we'll be able to continue the talk about global warming then, after the severe winter interlude .
