Topic: ROLLING STONES TO PERFORM FA CUP HALF-TIME SHOW! Return to archive
February 7th, 2006 07:22 PM
Honky Tonk Man Well, us British can dream, can’t we?

No, seriously, why the fuck not?

Super bowl? Eh? What is American Prop football? A game derived from rugby!

The Stones should stick more to they're routes and put on a show during the half time of the FA Cup, European Cup or World Cup!

Football (soccer for the Yanks) is the TRUE World sport!)
February 7th, 2006 07:26 PM
Sir Jack Regan I agree soccer is the true world sport HTM, but I think there's more chance of Mick Taylor having a solo number 1 record than The Stones playing half-time at The FA Cup Final!

I don't think I'd welcome that, not sure if it would come off.

because the idea of it is cheesy, silly and contrived

We dont need it

Dont know about you, but old fart that I am, I get a bit tired of the way, in the Sky era, football has become so over-commercialised, marketed and exploited..and the way TV companies have tried to transform it into something else

Poison Dart Soccer is boring. US football is for real men .
February 7th, 2006 08:27 PM
Sir Stonesalot I believe Manchester United is now owned, in large part, by an American...who also owns a US Football team? Correct?

yes...Malcolm Glazer, who owns the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

he's never actually set foot in Manchester either. His sons occasionally do however

is that why they wear all that protective gear...as King Corgi has repeatedly pointed out Australian Rules football is the toughest (and most dangerous) of all the football codes

pdog American Football has become so dumbed down, it's laughable! It's so slow and every play is under a microscope, shit baseball is more exciting, it's supposed to be slow with no time constraints.
American football died sometime in the 80's... It's just like pro wrestling to me, except it's not supposed to be.

That’s right. The guy has never been to Manchester and I really can't see him making the trip either. His sons, Joel and the other two, seem to be the ones acting on his behalf when it comes to attending matches and playing an interest. It's the way it goes at the moment, but I think it's a real danger having a guy with ABSOLOULEY NO INTESET or knowledge of the world’s greatest sport, in charge of a team like Manchester United. To Glazer, it's all about the dollars and as soon as thinks don't go his way over here, he'll probably pack up and go, leaving the club in real trouble. Allowing that Floridian dimwit to financial control at Old Trafford was one of the biggest mistakes made by an English club EVER!

NO! England Vs Brazil!

We have to take revenge on Ronaldinio's fluke in the 02 World Cup!

PS: We'll beat France in the semi-final

I was just joking you know, France don't have a single chance to reach the final, except if God, sorry except if Zizou plays at his best and can score 2 goals in the 2 last minutes....remember that??
