Taptrick Chuck generally plays Blueberry Hill about once a month. He lives in Wentzville (ala Back to Wentzville) just outside St. Louis. Drives his RV to the casinos around St. Louis and St. Charles. Still plays a lot of casinos around the world. I'm heading to Applebees to drink right now but I will post some funny stuff about him hitting on my mom in St. Louie when i get time.

UGot2Rollme can Chuck still kick it out? I knew someone who played bass once as one of Chuck's "hired hands" (Chuck used to sign a contract saying that there would be a backing band who knew his tunes) - didn't know Chuck at all, but said that it seemed like the duck walker's main interest was powdering his nose.

Don't want to diss Chuck, though... I think he is the True King of Rock and Roll!

Steel Wheels Screw Elvis - Chuck is the King. Playing that 335 so well, so loud, and so perfectly makes him the King.

No. Elvis made chicks pass out "en mass". Chuck couldn't bring it to that level.

parmeda TTM is absolutely correct...bravo, for making your point.

Don't misunderstand me...I love Chuck's music!

Every musician makes their own mark, and Mr. Berry has definately made a pretty good nitch in our culture.
However, and speaking from my own experiences in seeing Chuck & Elvis perform live...Chuck couldn't play 'bat-boy' in Elvis' 'baseball park'. Sorry, but that's my honest opinion.

Honky Tonk Man I saw Chuck Berry live a couple of years ago in London. Thought he put on a very entertaining show. Like Keith, he does as much posing as playing these days, but the old magic kept creeping through! It was pretty weird actually. His backing band kept their eyes on him the whole time. Guess it was just to make sure he didn't fall over! Like Keith, he's a real eccentric. He was wearing a sailor’s cap.
