Topic: Stones to sign with Live Nation? Return to archive
29th January 2008 09:55 PM
Poison Dart According to a story at Foxnews.com the Stones may end up with a new recording deal over at Live Nation.

The article (by Roger Friedman)claims the Stones would be looking for a deal bigger than the $120 million dollars that Madonna received from Live Nation.

"The Rolling Stones are the most famous group in the world bigger than U2 or The Police. The group is a guaranteed touring monster, but they are not and never have been big sellers on cd. Signing with Live Nation makes sense, and the concert behemoth would make it's money back almost instantly"

corgi37 The Police just finished their Aussie tour and it fizzled badly. they played the hallowed turf of the MCG to a crappy 30,000 crowd.

The Stones played 2 shoes there in 95 to a combined crowd of about 120,000.
