A tragic end to a troubled life. And sister {half sister?} Cheyenne? That was so sad too. Lots of tragedy in that family. |

I thought he died a long time ago. Must have been a different son or something. |

I wish I could have met Brando. Don't wish he was my dad, though. |

Brando's acting genius certainly hindred his parental abilities.
Btw, I read a Johnny Depp interview recently (Rolling Stone, I think) in which Johnny said that Marlon gave him parenting advice. |

Hopefully Depp had a walkman in his ears at the time. I'm a massive Brando fan, but his personal life - and that of his children - appears to have been more akin to a motorway pile up, let alone a car crash. |

Actually, Christian was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in the death of half sister Cheyenne's boyfriend, Dag Drollet. The only other dead child of Brando's is Cheyenne herself, who committed suicide when she was like 25.
Found out Brando had 11 kids! 3 were adopted---the others were by four different women. He had his share of homosexual affairs too. Pretty tumultuous personal life. |

brando was a genius, a genuine artist who never claimed either one of those titles.
but the man was absolutely wrecked his family....
depp, like we all do, tends to idolize and romanticize his heroes -
hunter thompson, brando etc....
but they had serious flaws. |

I find it strange that Christian Brando, who was 49 years old when he died, died of pneumonia while in a HOSPITAL where he's been for more than 2 weeks.
I can see someone who is elder and frail dying of this in a hospital.
But, I would think that a hospital could cure a 49 year old male from pneumonia. Didn't this hospital give him any antibiotics??
Did he have other health issues that contrubuted to his death?
Do other RO folks have an opinion?
