You make Bono feel like an eagle, in a captivating flight, staring down from the top of a very high mountain, as you are leading me from one point of beauty to another.

TampabayStone You can go the easy route and intoduce the classic Taylor/Wood debate. I guessing that your Proff is half a queer so the old Stones/Beatle debate is not bad either and that's an easy arguement..

No need to. I know it looks odd coming after what was a perfectly reasonable first post, but I had to leave my own post in to explain to the two people concerned why some posts were deleted.

jaymze In Uni, I once looked into trying to trace where The Rolling Stones went from a worldwide touring "band" to a worldwide recognised "brand".

There aren't that many truely globally recognised brands in existance (the Nike "swoosh" and red coke can are some of the few). I feel that the tongue and lips logo stand along those international symbols.

It would be interesting to examine how/why that came about and why it has not happened for many other entertainers.....

Agreed, you can be in the jungles of Africa or The rain forests in the In South America and people know the logo and even wear it. That's a good one for The Rose's disertation.

Crap, did not realize I was in this thread.

Preferred. But keep in mind I carry weapons and pest thieving birds are better as a pillow and stew for the work dogs.

I wouldn't necessarily equate the term non-Western with Hinduism, even as popular as it was in the 1960s. Not the Stones' music, but Brian Jones recording the Ganoua and Jajouka musicians. Islamic.

Interesting. I will have to research.

I guess the cool down period is about midway now... yea..

I just spent about 36 hours at Gaspirila. Woke up this mornin' ate a lovely perfect greasy hambergur (with bacon). Watched mclovin on my buddys sweet system. Came home for about an hour and a half (got board). Went up the street to a bar, it was closed, but the old man let me get a 20ozer at the package store and hangout. So I watched some Denzel movie about debating. Had to be a bootleg. I drank my Nasty Bud, and watched this movie with four black guys all in their 60'. They say some funny shit.. Not ready to go home, I went close to down town looking for a bar with people, it did not happen. But looked up at the State Theatre (I don't know what you call it)and it says Sick of it All on the 27th. I look at my watch, and I don't have my reading glsses to see what the dateis, I'm like you got to be kidding me. So I went in and the dude only charges me 10 instead of 15 because the openging guys were about 3/4 done. I call my buddy because we stumbled on this band 10 + years ago (we were drinking micky's 40's). It was funny because we were a little older and just got off work with like kakes and pollo shirts. I noticed a couple buses on the side so we went in. Corn was the headliner and it was nutty. Kids with crazy tats on the back of their neck and shit. Anyway, he comes across the bridge in like 30 minutes and we had a blast. He is sleeping on my couch right now and i'm wired! Never heard music like that and have avoided every since, accept for tonight.
