Belfast Telegraph (Hi Gazza)

Don't get trapped in the past.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Always check your facts.

People don't bother to check anything any more - especially in my business.

They just like to speculate in print.

Get into the habit of fact-checking!

Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.

Hang on to your dreams.

Lose your dreams and you might lose your mind.

Always be prepared to listen to people's points of view.

But when they are not working, you have got to speak up as well.

I think social comment is very much part of what the Rolling Stones have always done.

Enjoying life is not an exclusive preserve of young people.

It is far better to be out with beautiful people than be an old fart in the pub talking about what you were like in the Sixties.

Don't become completely isolated.

I need the energy from other people.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need.

These words from our 1969 album Let It Bleed say it all.

When you start a new project, you are always learning something.

I am always finding something new when I start something new.

Don't be satisfied with your lot, aim for something better.

Like I famously sang: 'I can't get no satisfaction.'

killerbitch He was doing fine until the old fart in the pub back in the Sixties and the
next one. Why does Mick have to use the word "Beautiful People"? It sounds
like the past is haunting him.

Saint Sway wow! How fucking lame. And to think I never thought I'd ever read anything here gheyer than Pug's post about "how to succeed in business"

read that in their Sunday paper yesterday. They have a different 'celeb' every week. As if Mick actually said this in an interview. A most bizarre copy and paste.

Sure as hell doesn't sound like something Mick Jagger would sit down and communicate to an interviewer, especially in such a derivative way.
