Back in 2006 I purchased a Rolling Stones record at an Antique store in Chicago. After taking it home and verifying that it worked, I began collecting them. My friend told me he had a record that was dated as one of the earliest ones produced. I decided to look at mine and see if I could find just how old it was. Upon searching the entire cover and al the pages of the small case booklet, I realized that there wasn't a date. The most I can come up with is a descriptive list on the top left corner that reads 'STEREO NPS-1 Electronically Reprocessed'
The record is titled BIG HITS (High Tide And Green Grass). On the back the Rolling Stones are in what looks like dense woods with a creek/stream running through. The front has all five standing by what could be a man-made pond, or dam. I realize that I am not very knowledgable with records, and perhaps there isn't supposed to be a date on the record at all. But if anyone has anything at all that would help me, please!

Released in 1966, it's a best of covering songs recorded between 1964 and 1966. |

My first Stones record (I think) bought at a yard sale when I was about 7. |

I bought that album when it first came out. It was before I learned how to
drive. Great album. |

That was my first Stones album too...of my own, Mom had Beggars when it came out -- that and Axis Bold As Love is how and why I learned to operate a turntable by age five |

I entered a drawing to win High Tides at Meyer's Dept. Store in Springfield, Ill. in 1966. Still haven't heard from them. Guess I didn't win it. lol |
