what 3-4 songs would you like to hear. i am looking forward to this already.
i was listening to the cd wildflowers, and i think one song he should do is...running down a dream.
anybody out there have any thoughts?

'Running Down a Dream' would be a great choice, indeed. (Wasnt it on 'Full Moon Fever' though and not 'Wildflowers'?)
I would imagine it'll be the tried and tested well known stuff. Being the US' major sporting event, I would imagine 'American Girl' would be a near-cert.
I'd also like to hear 'Refugee' but I suppose either 'I Wont Back Down' or 'Freefallin'' might get played.
In the old days, he used to encore with 'Shout' a lot..not sure if he still does. That should be a decent enough crowd pleaser.

Yeah Petty does a lot of covers live. I imagine he will probably do one or a medley of some old R&B at the Super Bowl. I would say Freefallin would be a lock. Not so sure about American Girl. The funny thing is he doesn't even have a new album to promote. So who knows what he'll play.
