the 2nd North American leg will consist of only some 30 arena shows, so no way will it run from September through December. They'll be in other markets as well during that time.

$49.50 if you get general admission tickets

I dont think too many of the seats would be $135.
Most would probably be about halfway between those two amounts
January 24th, 2005 11:13 AM
Moonisup €70 are the most expensive in holland, that ain't a bad price
January 24th, 2005 11:20 AM
Gazza Madafaka

There will be an incredible scramble for U2 tickets, especially for NY/NJ and even taking into account the near certainty that extra shows will be added

However, they do have a pre-sale on their official website and you can buy tickets from it from tomorrow (Tuesday). However, you MUST be registered by this evening to be able to take advantage of the offer. The one year subscription costs $40 (quite a bit better value than $100 for the official site of a certain band which allows you pre-sale tickets IF they tour - which they didnt)

That may be your best chance of getting tickets for these concerts

The official site is at www.U2.com
the subscribe info is at http://u2.com/subscribe/

glencar Gazza, if I sign up for that pre-sale thing, do the tickets go on sale now?
January 24th, 2005 12:12 PM
Gazza you can get them from tomorrow..I just signed up, although I'm not sure what show(s) I'll go to as yet I'll probably do one anyway.

With the low cost airlines we have now, a couple of days in Rome, Berlin or Barcelona sounds nice (thats something I plan on doing for the Stones next year). I'm on holiday in Paris early June and come back the day before Manchester otherwise I may have gone to that one.

I'm still hopeful of a few arena shows in Europe - there's been talk of one in Belfast

Just to emphasise though - you MUST sign up by this evening to be able to take advantage of the pre-sale.

glencar That show in Lisbon looks like a great one from my angle. The only thing is that US--->Europe a/f are tremendous in the summer. So the swamps of Jersey is probably my fate.
January 24th, 2005 12:30 PM
Gazza the dollar being very weak at the minute wouldnt help matters either! Lisbon's an interesting city. I was there for a football match about 7-8 years ago. I like the sound of Barcelona or Berlin though of the places I can fly directly to, as I've been to both Rome and Nice. In the end, i'll probably just do one of the UK shows!

we've direct flights from Belfast to Newark starting in May. However with both the Stones AND (probably) Springsteen likely to tour this year, if I go over it would be for one of them

I thought you lived in the Bronx. Would the Garden not be your 'local' gig?
[Edited by Gazza]
January 24th, 2005 12:35 PM
glencar Nah, I'm born in the Bronx but I live out on Long Island. MSG is much easier to get to than Jersey. I didn't see it listed though.

BTW Who's flying direct from EWR--->BEL?
January 24th, 2005 12:36 PM
glencar D'oh! I see said the blind man! Yes, that May 21 date seems much better to me. I will have to plan for that!
