Madafaka How many different songs played the Stones in this last tour?
I have a greeeeeat idea! I wanna make "The Licks Live Box". It will be the best performance of each song. Yeah, sure you think that I'm crazy. It's only R&R but I like it!

Marko, is a good idea? What do you think?

The best to all my friends of Rocks Off in this year that just begins! I hope that this could be a year full of music!

glencar Only 78 songs? Seems like it should have been more.

Madafaka Thank you Gerardo. You are always in everything!

Please Rocks Off people, help me to select the best performances of each song. Let's work like a team!
Post your comments here! I'll be working on that, but it is going to carry me a lot of time.
When the compilation has finished, we could make a big tree! What do you think? I need your opinion.

macy, how exactly does this work?
let's say when i want to burn on a cd, or when i want to listen on mp3 player / PC.
does it copy the file and then safe again using the soundlevel you choose...?

when you burn a CD, you burn WAV files. use the Wavegain proggie I linked to above, and run album gain on all the WAVs, and then burn them to CD...

actually - replaygain is a standard, so it "chooses" the level (more info at the first link, like how/why the level was chosen)...

with mp3, or any other file playback on a computer, you should use foobar2000, which supports replaigain. all you do is select the tracks you want to peak @ the same level, right click and run replaygain (scan as album)...

you scan the songs as an album rather than as individual tracks because that way, all tracks are analyzed for their peaks, and then a single level most suitable for the WHOLE album is chosen; track gain does it track by track, so the sound level will not be constant...

I hope this helps.

egon thanks veru much!

one thing i do not understand;
if i use it on my mp3's which i leave on my pc
(ie which i do not burn), will it correct the original file, or create a new one..?

applying replaygain to mp3 playback in foobar puts the info in the tag, so the actual audio info remains unchanged, but you only have to scan the files once...

Wavegain, however, will either change the WAV or write a new one.

Dan I have been meaning to do this forever, but as usual, total music overload at my place.
Best SFM is Boston 9/3/02, other than that will have to check my scattered notes at home.
