Was doing some Ian Stewart searching on U Tube I think it was, and found he wrote the bridge for Stairway to H?
So in a way, Ian Stewart Rules You Bastards!

Ronnie's solo on Blinded by Rainbows should be on this list. |

this list is why I hate these lists. There's tons of great stuff out there, way cooler than this stuff. But b/c most people wouldn't recognize it, it's automatically out of contention. instead of letting people know not everything revolves around radio friendly, listener name recognition, they actually could've made people go out and discover something great. Instead the settle for the same old crap...
BOO!
Randy Rhodes?
Stairway To Heaven?!?
Contrived fucking bullshit!
Fuck people are idiots! |

That's as predictable a list, as ones I made in Jr. high! |

They got it totally wrong. "I can see for miles" is the greatest solo. 1 note, over and over. Brilliant.
"Cinnamon Girl" is good too. |

My favourite non-Stones guitar solo is Slash's on Sweet Child 'O Mine. I'm no music snob, so I'm more than okay with liking this. |

Stairway To Heaven?!?
Yes and yes. Stairway to heaven is the most beautiful solo I have ever heard, although the song gets more credit than it deserves. But the studio solo is a masterpiece
And Rhandy Rhoads is easily one of the 10 best gutar players ever. Perfect match of speed and melody. Too bad he died so young
