Saint Sway heres a rare shot of the bearded Mick singing "Miss You" at the private club gig they did at the Paladium in 1980

corgi37 At least Keith had the style to never have a beard. Mick, Bill & Ronnie all had little mo's at once stage or another. I hate beards but i dont have to shave everyday as i hate that too.

The hair on my balls grows back pretty quick now, which is a bummer.

No! The Stones are a no-beard zone (except for Chuck, but I'll allow him to keep it because he did such a good job with the setlists for the fall leg of the tour.)

And TBS, don't sweat it. Facial hair is overrated.

Especially on women....

Honky Tonk Man Beards don’t suit Mick at all. Seeing these photos kind of reminds me of the Beatles moustaches in 1967. It almost looks like they’ve been pencilled in. Mick’s look like a Sellotape job!

VoodooChileInWOnderl I'm sure I have at least another one of Mick with beard to get this thread back on topic, but in the meantime this is Patti Smith in 2004

11th January 2007 01:54 PM

You tell 'em, Glenny! (Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course...)

And VOODOO......I'm en route to Mexico as we speak. I'm bringing the BIG WHIP. You are in deep shit, my friend.

11th January 2007 03:00 PM
glencar Mexico? Where ya going?
11th January 2007 03:01 PM
glencar BTW I saw Patti in Central Park back in 1979 or so. She was kinda rode hard even then but the crowd (and I) loved her.
11th January 2007 03:02 PM
GotToRollMe I'm goin' to lay some heavy religion on Voodoo's ass for blaspheming Patti.

11th January 2007 03:08 PM

I saw her in Central Park in '78 - and '76, when I was just a young'un. Good times.

11th January 2007 03:12 PM
Saint Sway GTRMe,

are you a BIG Patti fan?
11th January 2007 03:13 PM
glencar We were at the same show maybe??? It was at that Wollman rink. I'm not 100% of the year. It was late summer & somewhat chilly that night. I believe I was a bit high.

It had to be the same show. She sang "You Light Up My Life" as an encore (even I had to cringe at that) and the band seemed kinda pissed at her. Shortly after that she "retired."

Yeah, pretty much everyone was high...lol.
11th January 2007 03:22 PM
glencar Quite frankly, I don't remember that one! I know she did Ethiopia but I'll have to ask my brother about YLUML.
11th January 2007 03:28 PM
GotToRollMe Okay, I gotta admit that's a good photoshop job, Voodoo (maybe a little too good). She kinda looks like Jesus, actually...

I'll just bring the medium-sized whip.

Maybe.
