Keith's playing Happy now. He's switched from using Malcolm to his Sunburst Tele. He's also moved the capo from 4th fret to 2nd.

No fucking guests yet? Come on!
Was Let it Bleed played with Hubert? |
|
no_cole_porter |
No Hubert for Let It Bleed. I think this is the first time on TV Keith's gotten 2 songs instead of 1. |

Not surprised that there are no guests. Who needs them? I haven't seen a show since October and I can't believe it, but they sound even better!!! Lisa Fischer is the next Tina Turner and should be signed immediately to a major record deal.
CYMK and Midnight Rambler in one show! This is incredible. What a night in Stones history.
Back to the Living Room........
Ronnie is soloing on CYHMK.

Yup. Wonderful Concert. |

Great show!
Seemed like it took 'em a few songs to get warmed up. Highlights for me:
Midnight Rambler, CYHMK (great solo by Ronnie) and When the Whip Comes Down! So glad that they did the last one instead of the Dylan tune.
Lisa looks better with longer hair; Charlie is a handsome old bastard.
I must confess that I've had my fill of Keith kneeling down, hugging that guitar, but hey . . . you gotta love these motherfuckers!
Roll on!

OMG!!! She did like some sort of an opera thing. I hated it and it made my nutsack shrivel.
I just realized how great it is to actually be at a concert. Concerts on TV are not very appealing. |

I can hardly type. I'm shaking. Yes, it's the Vodka and the herb, but I can honestly say that the Stones have NEVER sounded better.
MVP of the Night--Keith Richards. I've been reading how he's picked it up (perhaps in response to Woody's rejunvenation) and tonight I saw it. In October when I saw them, he was very loose. Tonight he played like I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE!! When you see those classic riffs come out of his guitar, IT'S HEAVEN!! It's raw talent!! Keith was a tiger tonight, and I, for one would love to jump into his cage!!
What a great show!! Hope small town America, et. al can appreciate what we have known for years....The Rolling Stones are the best!! No other band comes close. NO ONE!!
Adieu, my friends!! We're digging out the videos from VL and B to B now! It's snowing pretty heavy outside. Perhaps a weekend of Stones Concerts is in order.
