GotToRollMe The Best Song On Earth, for me, changes all the time, but today the Best Song On Earth is Loving Cup - the Atlantic City 11-17-06 version.

Bitch are you feelin goooooooooood?

uh-huh, uh-huh!

OK MICK said his favorite song was Gimme Shelter, its in the red book According to the RS.

Beast of Burden (BOB) I heard it twice on ABB, in Boston August 2005 and in Vegas March 2006. It's always special when you get BOB! They should play it more but I MICK cant always hit those high notes!

pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty girrrrrrrrrrl, come on baby please please pleeeeeeeeeze

StonesChick I can't chose. It changes often, but is always a Stones song.

Gimme Shelter is definitely one of the greatest songs ever written. It is absolutely timeless.

Voodoo Scrounge I can understand the argument for Gimme Shelter. But the Stones have been very limited with regards to how they can play it. You can only play Gimme Shelter fast and rocky, or slow and rocky.

Beast of Burden is a song which is easy to adapt to the mood of the ocassion.

The version at the top of this thread is very upbeat and fast if you like, the accoustic version is slow and sad, the version from Licks is live and loud, its very changable.

The best song on earth!

Stray Cat UK I agree. It's often overlooked and is their most under-rated song IMHO.

Bizarely,I once name a motorcycle after it !

Honky Tonk Man Okay, I’ll confess. I’ve never really like this song. It’s too gooey and sappy for me. It makes me shudder.

I'm really, really, sorry, Voodoo Scrounge. I did wish you a happy birthday though

Soldatti Beast Of Burden is a good song, but nothing groundbreaking like Gimme Shelter or JJF.

TornAndFrayed I hate Ernie Watts.

Beast Of Burden is a nice and catchy little ditty but it can´t touch a timeless classic monster like Gimme Shelter. Is Gimme Shelter the best song by anyone, ever? Probably.
