It's his personal in-ear monitor. He has a feed of his vocal, bass, drums, & Ronnies guitar, no Keith, Chuck, horns or backup singers. We know this as the Japanese fed into this signal & recorded all the Bang concerts in Japan. DAC has released these as is, & they are perfect snbds very well mixed. The set of all Japanese matrixs use the DAC & audience recordings to produce an excellent set.
Being able to hear Ronnies guitar without Keiths' in the mix you can hear that he was actually pretty good at times.

drums and etc. without wearing those ear monitors. But
from being around all that loud music for 40 years, on and off
stage he may have experienced some hearing loss.

Those are NOT hearing aids, like for the half deaf!
