steel driving hammer There's alot, maybe 81? 72? 69? 06?

Those are my faves maybe, but 81 was really good.

pdog If you think about it, this is a question a 12 year old girl would ask about Hanna Montana.

andrews27 Now that you mention it, it was 1975. Especially Buffalo, Rich Stadium, 8-8-75, the last NA tour date, when he seemed...strangely happy for some reason.
11th January 2008 03:17 PM
steel driving hammer Yeah 75 was good n' loose.

Also Mick was loose in 78, but so was the music, opposed to 75's tightness.

Ten Thousand Motels ABB....Dancing all the way to the bank.

steel driving hammer Ah, don't know, but I know what you mean.

I sure liked the 69 Rooster durring the solo of HTW when he flaps his arms!

You mean Private Dancing, lol.

fireontheplatter i think his best was during the earlier days.....these days he doesn't do a whole whole lot. he'll bust out a twirl a here and a there, but nothing like the old time. if you study the hampton dvds he does a lot of hip movement...not so much anymore.
i just appreciate that they do and awesome 2 hour show, with an awesome stage and lighting and sound and visuals.
the 3 shows i saw last tour were the greatest and i made all of them a day event. i got to the parking lots as soon as they opened, cracked a beer and thanked god. and i ate a taco bell burrito and home made chicken wings and....

i hope happens all again.

Shawn20 I really thought 1972 captured Jagger at his best. When people attempt to impersonate Jagger's dancing, they are typically doing their version of Jagger circa 72.

Bitch Not from a tour, but its on a DVD. Rock & Roll Circus, Sympathy for the Devil. Not sure if this even qualifies as a dance either, but this is the ultimate MICK period for me, 1969! What a specticle MICK puts on when he rips off his shirt and slithers down the runway with his eyes set on fire. You gotta dust off your R&R Circus DVD and revisit this little gem! I get goose bumps from it, those jaw dropping MICK moves as a young man, with full pouty lips and long dark hair, ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! ooooooooohhhhhhhhhh!yessssssssssssssss!!!! MMMIiiiiiiccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!
13th January 2008 10:57 PM
M.O.W.A.T. Well, it certainly wasn't the 78 tour...

What was up with the high-stepped running in place moves?!?
14th January 2008 06:56 AM
Bob Tamp Mick is Mick and has always been great, but his best is clearly the 69 and 72 tours. The rooster strut( see Satisfaction in the movie GIMME SHELTER) is my favorite.
He really personified real coolness during those tours. That said, I do think Mick started to become a parody of himself by 1975, but he is still the ultimate performer.
