no_cole_porter Keith Is Pretty Well Known For His Use Of The Telecaster...But Which Tour Did He First Start Using His Telecasters? I Am Guessing It Was The 72' Tour....Because I Remember Him Using The Black 72' Custom On The 75' Tour Of Americas And His Butterscotch Blonde One When They Were Playing Brown Sugar On The Flatbed Truck....Can Anyone Help With Some Information?

the lepper I think '72 would be right. I also remember him playing a black Les Paul on the '72 tour extensively.

Mathijs Keith started using Tele's after his guitar collection was stolen in 71 from his Nelcote villa. The 1972 tour was the first tour he where he started to play the telecaster -Taylor already used a telecaster for the 1969 tour. PLease check out my website for more info on the Stones'guitars.

Best,
Mathijs

Stonesmillenium2001 this is the address for his site:

http://stonesinreview.tiscaliweb.nl/

this site and ian's site are the best stones sites i have seen.

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board.
The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
