Andy Warhol Works Hit Nevada Museum of Art
1/18/2007
The work of an internationally recognized artist will be on display at the Nevada Museum of Art this weekend.
Andy Warhol’s ‘Dream America’ exhibition is being set up at the museum in Reno.
Warhol is one of the most influential and provocative artists of the 20th century and his exhibition offers a unique look at his career. “Andy Warhol is really one of the highest caliber artists working in the 20th century in America and it’s very exciting to able to bring a blockbuster exhibition of this type to the northern Nevada community and to energize our audience about what we’re doing here at the museum,” says Curator Ann Wolfe.
‘Dream America’ starts Saturday and runs through May 27th. It features images of Marilyn Monroe, Mick Jagger, Jacquelyn Kennedy and the Campbell’s Soup cans.
Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors while museum members can get in free. The museum is located at 160 West Liberty in downtown Reno.
