Well, I don't think if is worth starting a thread for solving this question, anyway, I'm reading Robert Shelton's book "No Direction Home", the great bio about Dylan. As he covers the early days of Dylan, his childhood in Hibbing and even the history of the Zimmerman's migration in the last century, there are many therms used for traditional jewish rituals. One of them I recall is "B'nai N'rith". What is that means?

have you seen "the hebrew hammer?" classic stuff. it might not resonate as much with the non-US residents, but i thought it was hilarious. given the way a few of you here INSIST on pushing the american-jewish pride, watching the aforementioned flick might give you cause to lighten up a bit. |

JJ, are you sure it was "b'nai n'rith" and not "b'nai b'rith", which--according to jb's link--refers to the sons of the covenant or, as you discussed above, circumcision?
Even those who've undergone the procedure might not be out of the woods yet, according to jb's site:
