Topic: US chart summary for the last two weeks Return to archive
January 16th, 2006 03:35 PM
Soldatti I was out during two weeks (great vacations), so here we go again and with the US chart summary of the last weeks:

Issue Date - January 7, 2005

The Billboard 200

128. A Bigger Bang (16 wks, 28,500 / 451,500)
173. Jump Back (57 wks, 21,500 / 671,100)
200. Rarities (4 wks, 17,400 / 74,049)

Issue Date - January 14, 2005

All the albums are out of the Billboard 200 but I have sales:

A Bigger Bang (8,100 / 459,700)
Rarities (6,800 / 80,800)

Rain Fall Down makes the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play this week debuting at #44. RFD is the 3rd charting single from ABB on Billboard.

Issue Date - January 21, 2005

A Bigger Bang is still out of the chart, it sold 5,000 copies this week with the total close to 465,000 copies.
Surprisingly, Rarities re-enter again on the chart:

The Billboard 200

183. Rarities (5 wks, 6,115 / 86,909)

Rain Fall Down climbs to #40 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play in the second week.

I actually DID go all the way to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and take a dump --- It is something every single human being on the planet should do before they pass from this orb.

As we predicte, still not Gold(too bad we can't combine with Rarities!!!!). As we said, tops in US in a couple of year 700-800k (and I may revise downword) if no big push from Super-Bowl.

no..we have more taste

The Stones have enough cheerleaders as it is
January 17th, 2006 03:36 PM
voodoopug seems to me that a Rolling Stones Message Board would be the correct spot to find such cheerleaders.....We are truly living in a U2 world when rival message boards are being attacked because the fans who visit the board want to be a part of the SUper Bowl with the Stones on it......humiliating!

glencar Ggod God man! I'm not going to Detroit for anything! The last Stones show there was a huge bust.

Soldatti,

I really appreciate your efforts...I find these numbers fascinating...In the past you have mentioned that Forty Licks has sold about 4.5 million and I'm sure this is their biggest soundscan seller..Can I ask what are the soundscan sales for Hot Rocks, Tattoo You, Let it Bleed & Steel Wheels?...Just curious...Also, what is an "interview album"?...Thanks again...

40 Licks has sold 2.6 million copies so far and it's their best selling album of the Soundscan era, with VL second and Hot Rocks third.

Here the other numbers:
Hot Rocks: 1.810,000
Tattoo You: 373,000
Let It Bleed: 520,000
Steel Wheels: 263,000

Interview albums are unoficial releases with interviews, the top sellers of these albums are "Who Are The Stones?" with 11,000 copies and "As It Happened" with 9,000 copies.

Who Are The Stones? is excellent. For those who don't know, the interviews were for a Rolling Stones radio special in the States. It was recorded in 1965 and has about ten minutes of interview with each Stone. If I remember rightly, the interviewer came out with some really dumb questions! It's actually really quite fascinating and it shows you how far the Stones have come in the manor they conduct themselves. They were so withdrawn back then and Keith’s negative attitude is priceless.

I don't know how many different versions of it there are, but mine came in a birthday card kind of package
