Thanks a lot MrD! Is it from the 27th or the 28th though? The filename says the 27th but your post says the 28th... |

Thx for Syracuse '81, it's getting to be a nice full tour for me.
Yes, it does sound like an audience recording doesn't it? there is a fair bit of 'space' & you can clearly here individual applause between songs, but no cheers, whistles, screams, etc, specifically at the end of JJF. Nice recording thank you.
The artwork included is only thumbs, anyone got a lead on larger versions. |

I think the Syracuse 11-27&28-81 soundboards sound like audience recordings because of the lousy sound in the Carrier Dome! If they ARE audience recordings then they are excellent ones for that period...no talking around the taper...I think they are indeed soundboards! |

What would the venue have to do with the sound of a soundboard? |

Hi guys,
first of all thanks to MRD8 for all his uploads!
The link he gave to you is only valid for 30 days. So you better use this one in future. I managed to get all my 1981 covers there as well as my 2005 and 2006 artwork:

How is the sound quality of the following:
Rolling Stones
Fox Theater
Atlanta, Georgia
October 17, 1981
I think it was first seeded here, and it's now UP on DIME. It just says that it's a SBD, but I don't know how good it sounds, as I still don't have Hampton, I would like to know if this one sounds similar. Hampton sounds superb, what about this one?
Thanks |
