egon mad season, isn't that matchbox 20?
01-16-04 01:50 PM
Factory Girl egon, Mad Season was a "Seattle supergroup"-Layne Staley on vocals, Mike Mcready on guitar, J. Baker Martin on bass, & Barret Martin on drums.
01-16-04 01:53 PM
egon i mean i thought it was the name of one of their albums.

i better shut up now...

glencar I ahve "Far East Man" & of course the SACDs. I haven't watched "Far East Man" but maybe if I get snowed in for 3 days, I'll give it a try.
01-16-04 02:05 PM
Factory Girl glencar, do you have the SACD player? Does such a player make a huge difference in the sound quality?
I don't have SACD player.
01-16-04 02:06 PM
mac_daddy above is great...

aftermath UK SACD hybrid is essential.

stuff I got today:

stones 7/22/1972 complete sbd (although SFM is patched with 7/6/72 to make it complete)
stones - winter tour (vgp015)
stones - sydney last affair revisited

aic - 10/24-25/1991 (havent listened yet)
aic - 1/8/93 sbd
aic - 4/12/93 aud (not that great quality, so FG, if youwant this one, speak up because I might dump it soon)

jcantrell - 7/29/2002

glencar FG, no, I don't have an SACD player yet but I'll get one soon. I'm going to add to my fancy schmancy home theater system in the next few weeks. Also palnning on a new cabinet/armoire to hold all the stuff in.

mac_daddy the SACDs sound great on the CDDA layer, but if you have an SACD player plugged into your stereo system, the sound is jaw-dropping (esp if you are very familiar with the material - you will notice all sorts of stuff). well worth the $15 per title either way...

Factory Girl Maccy, can you list cities for these dates?

aic - 10/24-25/1991 (havent listened yet)
aic - 4/12/93 aud

jcantrell - 7/29/2002 How's the sound???

I love AIC. Jerry C. needs a new singer. He's a very talented guy, but his voice is very ordinary.

Factory Girl Hello, my fine finnish friend. I'm not into Led Zep at the moment, but thanks for the offersky. I'll email you in the future about it. I trust that all is well in your world??
01-16-04 03:19 PM
mac_daddy marko - if you are into that stuff, I now know what to trade you for... I have a number of undercirculated DATs that I just received (so they are closer to the original source tapes than many of the circulating boots... I plan ono slowly transferring them, but maybe you would like in on them as I get them done...
