01-13-04 06:49 AM
Zeeta mate!

The fella on the left is THE BOSS! Bruce Sringsteen! I don't beleive you didn't know that!?!?!?

I'd say the photo was c'95 Voodoo Lounge Tour.
01-13-04 06:53 AM

01-13-04 07:19 AM
Zeeta Why did you ask then?!

01-13-04 08:44 AM
egon it was a joke.

a poor one as it turns out...
01-13-04 09:07 AM
Zeeta Dutch humour...oh well!

I'm only messin mate, hope you are well.

Do you or anyone else rate Bruce highly??

I reckon he's Okay but his music can seem a bit antiquated at times, but I don't really know his music past a best of.

Any views, recommendations?

I know that Le Gazza loves him anyone else?
01-13-04 09:19 AM
SHINE A LIGHT don't know him at all......but for some reason, lately he's been getting on my nerves?????????
01-13-04 09:38 AM
egon

i like some of his stuff and his shows are quite "powerful".

but i own just his greatest hits album, and that's enough for me.
01-13-04 10:00 AM

Hey Zeeta, I'm sure it was a joke just read Egon's original message (it's unedited so it is the original)

After asking about who's that guy he then wrote "Seriously, when and where is it?"

BTw, I think is from the Steel Wheels tour

glencar "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" is a must-have for any true rock fan. The recent "The Rising" was a powerful testament to loss & recovery. I never bought "Born In The USA" because it was everywhere when it came out but it's also pretty good. "The River" is another good one. In that picture, the Boss is making an odd face. It's almost like he doesn't want to be there. What would Joshy think?
01-13-04 10:07 AM
glencar Gerardo, it's a VL Tour photo. He's got the Voodoo thing on the backstage pass.
01-13-04 10:08 AM
nankerphelge Bruce is wearing a pass from VL.

I was never a big Bruce fan.
I remember he opened one of his tours in Worcester Mass around '87 or '88 -- I drove by on my way skiing!!

01-13-04 10:10 AM
VoodooChileInWOnderl LOL sorry "I got stoned and I missed it", I did remember a photo of Bruce with Mick in the "Images of the world tour 1989-1990" but I just took a look and it's different

Yeah right I get it now. I thought the "seriously" was refering to the who is it? part.
Fukcin' imbaseel!@!_ Zeeta embrace the Dutchie humour!!!!!!!

01-13-04 10:11 AM

Hands down......Keith!!

I'm sure all you RO boys will agree with me!!

01-13-04 11:34 AM
glencar As someone said years ago, why would you grow something around your mouth that grows around your arsehole?
01-13-04 05:46 PM
stonedinaustralia getting back to zeeta's query

i am quite a fan of bruce

"nebraska" is required listening for everybody

i also rate "tunnel of love" highly as well as the aforementioned "darkness" and, of course, "born to run"

"everything dies baby, that's fact, but maybe everything that dies some day comes back..."
01-13-04 06:19 PM
Gazza And dont forget "The wild the innocent and the e-street shuffle" in addition to all of the above. I'd actually consider "Born In the USA" as one of Bruce's weaker albums. Its not really "typical" of his work. You could make a far better record from the songs he left off the album (he recorded about 80 songs for it..)

I also would add the 4-cd set of unreleased material, "Tracks" which came out in 1998. Any other artist (with the possible exception of Dylan) would have built a career around those songs. That's material he considered not good enough for inclusion on albums.

He's so talented as an artist and a live performer it's frightening.

Saint Sway thats a cool pic! Mighty nice of Keef to pose with the guy.

so how long was Bruce working for the Stones as a stagehand/roadie for?
