Alot of Stones fans do love Macca. Joking around several months ago on this board I posted a "survey". Macca has quite a following here. After that I stopped dissing him.

the fact that macca didn't sell out one of the smallest stadiums in holland (Gelredome) and the stones did sell out KUIP 1 and 2 and the first Amsterdam Arena, says something |

Well, Macca did allright in the States. The Dutch are Stones fans anyway. (God bless 'em) So that doesn't give a complete picture. Personally I don't like Macca much. But many many people do. |

Just pickup "The Concert For George DVD" look how Clapton and mates smoke his pathetic Tiny Tim version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" into oblivion. Add that to the fact that he puts his stamp all over the Let It Be Naked with his co-writing credit first over John Lennon makes one vomit. Wasn't this the hero who let King Of Diddlers Jacko steal away the Beatles songwriting credits? Can't we get the Homeland Defense Dept. to consider this moron a risk to music worldwide and have him banned from any aircraft? Please do yourself a favor, pick up any 71-75 Wings if you want real Macca music. Give me "Helen Wheels" over "Freedom" any day. After that period, I would prefer to hear ants gargle than anything from this Angela Lansbury lookalike.

Paul McCartney makes pop, and only a little rock. The Beatles weren't a rockband. They were a popband. I like Macca too, but mostly in The Beatles, and I think most of his solo work is kindda boring. The best solo record he made was "Run Devil Run" from '99. On that one he plays pure rock 'n roll, and it's good too. |
