FPM C10 Hey, thanks, ncp - except the yellow sparkly one Woody played in Midnight Rambler was the one I'm really wondering about. I thought it might be an Airline or a Supro.

What kind of lap steel was it? Yellow pearl? Is that a description or a brand name?

I think I saw Woody's Dan Armstrong standing by too.

Great buncha guitars!

Highwire Rob Excellent no_cole_porter! I'm keeping a copy of your technical breakdown in my notebook.

beer, on the new keithrichards.com website Keith answers a fan question specifically about the capo on Happy.

Keith says to put it on the fourth fret.

What do you guys make of it--does it change through different versions?

full moon Cool info...

no_cole_porter Ok Kids. There's been some very interesting things this tour.

Keith's changed guitars for songs again. Usually Malcolm is always capoed at the 4th, The sunburst Tele is usually capoed at the 4th as well.

I'm not sure if Keith's ever used a Hollowbodied Gibson on songs like Sympathy or Satisfaction, But it was nice to hear a Gibson again.

Happy is usually capoed at 4th fret. But Keith played it on 2nd fret during the 1988 Talk Is Cheap tour. So if it's on 4th it's B, but if it's on 3nd it becomes A, like on Don't Stop. But very interesting though.

Pearl is the description of the finish on Ronnie's lap steel. I'm not really sure about the type.

Keith's number 3 Telecaster may have been the one used during Brown Sugar during the Steel Wheels tour and can be seen during the Imax film Live At The Max.
