Top 40 grosses means just that, they probably charged more money, I'm surprised The Stones ain't on the list more, Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John charge a arm & a leg for tickets, if Woodstock (original) wasn't a free festival it would have made the list, no David Bowie! |

Yeah...$55 - 75 is an arm and a leg compared to $700 for those value for money hot seat packages in the same venue...
Uh..the ticket prices for the shows are listed. Its the biggest grosses of all time for shows at a single venue. Read the number of dates and attendances, look at the grosses and do the maths
For a Stones fan to say Springsteen (or anyone) charges an arm and leg for a ticket is preposterous.
The figures for the Springsteen Giants Stadium shows are for ten concerts. How do you think he sold half a million tickets and grossed $38 million?

Yep..leaving aside how anyone feels about his music, $55 - $75 aint bad for a major act.
Funny thing is that on the Bruce forums, a lot of people were going crazy with indignation at the fact that the US tour last year had prices of close to $100 (a bit more understandable as it was an 18 piece band playing small arenas).
I wish WE had to wrestle with decisins about prices on that level..LOL |
