Topic: Mojo magazines list of the bands that will set the standards in '08 (nvhc) Return to archive
8th January 2008 04:01 PM
Saint Sway Mojo magazine have listened to the big releases for early '08 and have released their list of the artists that they believe will set the standards for 2008

just another list, so take it for whatever its worth (probably not much). But I like Mojo and their taste in music coverage and am certainly looking forward to checking some of these out....

1. REM
2. Black Crowes
3. Portishead
4. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
5. Toumani Diabate
6. Guillemots
7. Drive-By Truckers
8. Bauhaus

I feel ya, Picasso.

The Izzy's new album has a few Sister Luck-ish tunes on it.

ck out their tune called "Slow Drag" -- bit of Sister Luck rip (which, of course, is a rip of Sway, which is a rip of....)

pdog Izzy's are very cool.
That list surprised me, i expected a bunch of newer bands, not bands like REM, Crowes and Bauhaus. Got me off guard, and this is always good!

Some Guy what was that guy with the Crowes- Mark ??- he had a solo album.

Nothing guilty about it here. A nice song with great lyrics.

Factory Girl The list is out of time.

Mojo needs a MOJO upload on current music...lol

twicks1 "By Your Side" (the song, not the album) is the most blatant Faces rip I have ever heard.

I mean, come on...that's just shameless.

Saw her about 10 years ago or so. She was wearing a pink dress (not her color) and kind of chubby. I still had the hots for her.
