De grootste rockband aller tijden, met Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts en Ron Wood: The Rolling Stones
Samen maken ze de het grootste muziekspektakel ooit op film vastgelegd: Shine a Light.

Martin Scorsese volgde de band en filmde in de herfst van 2006 hun optreden in het beroemde Beacon Theater in New York. Hij schakelde de allerbeste cameramensen en meest bekroonde cinematografen ter wereld in om de documentaire tot het hoogst mogelijke niveau te tillen. Het resultaat is een verbluffende filmervaring over, met en van de Stones die iedere zichzelf respecterende muziekliefhebber beleefd moet hebben.

My gut reaction is, it could be better. It looks like a primitive photoshop job. Am I off?

gimmekeef The paste on these things will barely set and then they'll be torn down...Cant imagine the movie being shown for more then 3 days in select markets.Then straight to dvd....

Thought the exact same, doesnt even follow along the trailers visual motif, i dont think itll be a straight to DVD, actually, it might, i finished Ronnie, and in the part where he talked about the Bridges of Babylon tour, he said it was also filmed for a movie, maybe this is the same type of thing

mrhipfl I like it a lot, actually.

The only thing I don't like about it is that Jagger's arm is cut off. The title should be at the bottom.

samekath i thought it sorta lame and believe scorcese could have done a lot better. mick looks droid-like.

fireontheplatter 1st impression was that i am not that that crazy about it. it seems to busy a picture. i hope it is the best of three. maybe they'll have a different picture for the usa.
