Topic: have you heard that?? Return to archive

Jumacfly Hi there

have you heard the "beep" on Rain Fall Down??
it s just on the bankers are wankers line.
those wankers are also partner with the Stones (American Express) so I guess Mick wanted to beep it.
what do you think about that??
January 16th, 2006 08:03 AM
Gazza well, 'wankers' is considered a swear word, so I suppose its no real surprise to have that on a song which is released as a single and which theyre hoping to get on the radio

Bit unfair though because in my experience bankers ARE indeed wankers.

Although someone with Mick's funds may in reality think otherwise

the line "bankers are wankers" have been beeped on "wankers"!!
Funny for a band sponsored by American Express!

Saint Sway its a shame that they beeped out "wankers"

they should of beeped over the entire song. RFD is one of the worst Stones songs ever. Worst than Back To Zero. And it will be the song that ruins their rep in the public eyes on Super Bowl Sunday

BTZ is dreadful, but....

She cooked me up some eggs
Then she made some tea
Kissed me on the cheek
And I turned on her TV

I rest my case.

as opposed to:

Baby, baby why can’t you sit still?
Who killed that bird out on you window sill?

Saint Sway Thats funny. You're a fool if you want to compare those 2 songs Pugs. And you know it.

even Vertigo is a better song than RFD. And Vertigo is complete shite.

RFD sounds like INXS & Bon Jovi got together in the studio, ate a huge plate of beans and farted out a song. Then called Ashlee Simpson and asked her if she had any extra lyrics lying around. And she faxed them...

And the rain fell down
On the cold grey town
And the phone kept ringing
And we made sweet love

And the rain fell down
And we made, and we made, and we made sweet love
And the phone kept, the phone kept ringing... Yeah!

Yeah
And the phone kept ringing
The phone kept ringing, yeah
