stewed & Keefed The enigmatic founder of the Rolling Stones, and an icon of rock 'n' roll tragedies, ranking alongside Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and Janice Joplin, Brian Jones was the soul of the band, but fell away into the depths of drugs and alcohol as their fame gathered momentum throughout the 60s. Beatles biographer Alan Clayson begins his history of each member of the Rolling Stones with the only one who died too soon. Clayson speaks to contemporaries from the 1960's music scene as well as family members to paint a very clear picture of the musical force that Brian Jones actually was during those early years of the band's life. Clayson also gives his own opinion on the current debate as to whether Jones may actually have been murdered by his one time bodyguard.
Alan Clayson.
