These Truman Capote with Mick pics are creeping me out!!
Look at the way Capote is leering at Mick. Wonder what he's got in that big straw purse?

|
|
VoodooChileInWOnderl |
Btw, I changed the original two quotes I put today but the new ones, as they are "softer"
Anywone has the audio-documentary? I would like to ta a listen and also check if Maxlugar is right about his voice |
|
LadyJane |
But Voo..Capote was the biggest flamer of his time. (Not that there's anything wrong with that).

LJ.
I have a solution... concentrate on Mick... concentrate on Mick, don't see Truman, imagine is a sweet lady known as LadyJane here and maybe that image even belongs to the Superbowl thread |
|
LadyJane |
Good solution, Voodoo!!
Concentrate on Mick....Concentrate on Mick.......Concentrate on Mick.
It's me in the pic...It's me in the pic....It's me...
LOL
LJ.
As for belonging in Superblow...NO...PLEASE...NO |
|
VoodooChileInWOnderl |
Well if I get 5 "Please remove the header" replies in the next ten minutes I will change the header |
|
VoodooChileInWOnderl |
But please the replies must be from different posters |
|
egon |
can we have a header with just truman? |
|
VoodooChileInWOnderl |
|
|
LadyJane |
Don't be silly. Leave it. We can handle it.
Just PLEASE DON'T POST IT IN SUPERBLOW!!!
LJ. |
|
egon |
who is truman anyway?
i've heard of him, but don't really know what he did
(apart from shagging mick) |
|
LadyJane |
A little something from a quick google search
"Truman Capote, b. New Orleans, La., Sept. 30, 1924, d. Aug. 25, 1984, was a Southern Gothic novelist, journalist, and celebrated man-about-town."
He actually wrote some good stuff.
LJ.
|
|
VoodooChileInWOnderl |
He passed away by a drug overdose |
|
VoodooChileInWOnderl |
he defined himself as "alcoholic, drug addict, gay and genius", since we have regulars belonging to one or more or all of the above I think it fits to make it as header LOL
After all is an extremelly rare photo with Jagger on it. |
|
LadyJane |
LMAO.
Good point!!
LJ. |
|
egon |
voodoo, please do not mention alcohol today.
(at least not for another 2 hours)
thank you. |

yeah--well, good advice. I am concentrating on MIck. Look at his crotch. Holy shit!! And he is taking off his shirt.
OK, now for my ignorant admission. What is up with the Truman/Mick connection. Have I missed something?. I knew they were acquaintances, but, what else have you guys heard?
Voodoo--his voice was just as Max described. The guy was a flaming queen. But so homely and small. GOod thing he was rich. |
|
VoodooChileInWOnderl |
Not much Truman/Jagger connection. Just that they are there in the audio-documentary Sunday with Mister C. (...Dancing with Mr. D)
The audio-documentary was conceived and produced by Andy Warhol (not using aything from Valerie Solanas), Andy also made a very long interview to Truman and a lot about Mick Jagger

Two excellent observations, Lux! I noticed the shirt thing earlier but the thought of it was so disturbing, I blocked it out!!

Seeing Mick with Truman made me think of Studio 54!, lmao...
...and something he once said:
"He moves like a parody between a majorette girl and Fred Astaire."
(Truman Capote on Mick Jagger)
Hey Voo, Got a pic of Mick with 'ole Steve Rubell in your pile-o-stuff? (Now THAT'S a scary sight...)

This was the "controversial" header
"I can't write if something has no mystery for me. The Stones didn't" "The Stones are first rate. I personally prefer them on record" Truman Capote 1924 - 1984 © 1973 Annie Leibovitz from "Sunday with Mister C." An audio-documentary by Andy Warhol, starring Truman Capote and featuring Mick Jagger |
|
VoodooChileInWOnderl |
This was the first Truman header
"Mick Jagger is about as sexy as a pissing toad" - 1969 "If the Stones lyrics made sense, they wouldn't be any good" - 1973 Truman Capote 1924 - 1984 © 1973 Annie Leibovitz |
