Did you notice that Keith Riffs have long story?
I'm going down/Soul Survivor/It must be hell/Rock and a hard place
999/You got me rocking
Wicked as it seems/Love is strong
Street fighting man/How I wish
Take it so hard/Mixed emotions
Anyway I love You got me rocking as a starter...
Or Maybe Start me up & You got me rocking...
Keith Love to play it...
He light up when he play it
He look bigger than life
Killer again
and so Happy...
btw... I'm not sure, but thru & thru could be the second best stones song of the tour!
I'm your lover baby! |

Nice thread Sir Muddy!
999 that is pure Keith kick ass shit!
I tend to agree You got me rockin is a great riff and dirty. I think One hit deserves a mention also.

Eileen, IMHO is a great one as well, not a big fan of YGMR... |

I'm always suspicious of any song with the words
Rock, Rockin, Rock & Roll as pure crowd grabbers.
However, sometimes you need these type of songs to
grab emotion of what it is, Rock & Roll.
This is exactly what happened Sunday night at the Fleet Center. From the first note, one could tell that this song would set the tone for the evening. I've taken a new liking to it, as it appears the Stones have as well, to use it as an opener. |

I don't know if it's the best Keith riff in 20 years, but Mick certainly seems to like it! |

I've always liked YGMR -- it is pure Stones sound, feel, and attitude.
Yeah it is another mindless anthem -- so what. It is a mindless anthem by the Stones -- that alone makes it great.
